This week we got a chance to sit down with Shae Paterson, an incredibly talented director of photography from Calgary and chat about the film industry, his career and some of his favourite lighting and grip techniques.

Shae Paterson is a Canadian Director of Photography & Gaffer with over 7 years professional experience in the industry. He has worked with a variety of companies including Google, CBC, Rogers Media, GMC, Bell Media, The United Nations and many more.

He has experience shooting with the latest cameras from SONY, ARRI, RED, CANON & BLACK MAGIC in HD-8K. With experience Operating, DP’ing, Gaffing and having been professionally trained in live entertainment production, makes Shae a very multi-talented presence on set.

Shae is currently located in Calgary & Vancouver. He is open to travel around Canada, the US and Internationally.
