Final Fantasy 14's Patch 7.1, also known as the Crossroads update, includes several key changes and updates. While the preliminary patch notes have been released, the job balance changes for Patch 7.1 are scheduled to be revealed separately during the server maintenance period. This maintenance started on November 11 at 10:00 PM Eastern and concluded on November 12 at 5:00 AM Eastern, with the full list of PvE and PvP job changes to be posted by Square Enix during this time.
The patch continues the main story of Dawntrail, addressing the fallout of events from the end of Patch 7.0, and introduces new main scenario quests that can be started by speaking to Bol Wuruq at the For'ard Cabins in Tuliyollal. Additionally, Patch 7.1 brings quality-of-life updates, including improvements to the user interface, game graphics, and the Hall of the Novice, which now teaches more advanced combat mechanics.
Other notable updates include the release of the Echoes of Vana'diel alliance raid series, with the first part titled Jeuno: The First Walk, and various graphical enhancements such as better textures, improved lighting and shadow work, and high-resolution vegetation. The patch also includes new weapon appearances, furnishings, and several other cosmetic and gameplay changes[3][5][4].
