While not too technically impressive by today's standards, the photorealistic animation in FINAL FANTASY was groundbreaking in 2001. Despite praise for its visuals, the movie failed to find its audience, even among fans of the video game franchise. This week we revisit the film to find everything it does right, and see what managed to age well.
