After his career with the Bulls, he came out of retirement and took a position in the executive office as the team president for the Washington Wizards with the aspirations to learn the business and eventually take over the franchise. Soon after assuming the position as president, he was convinced to come out of retirement to suit up on the court. Before Jordan joined the team in 2000, the Wizards reportedly lost $40 million. With Jordan playing they sold out 82 straight games and profit 30 million. Two years later when Jordan retired, Alan Pollin patted Jordan on the back and told him that we appreciate everything you’ve done for us
