Carl’s life changed in one day from an event that has nearly happened to all of us — having a bad day at work. From there, he started the 1500 days personal finance blog as a platform to keep himself motivated to achieve financial independence in that timespan.

 

He was able to achieve his dream of financial independence through real estate investing, and have much more money than he ever imagined. However, he says that sometimes there are regrets around how much he worked versus the happiness he was able to achieve in his house hacking experiences.
