Acts 25:5-10 Colossians 3:23
In this chapter, we follow Paul as he stands trial before Porcius Festus, the new governor. Festus invites the influential Jews to present their accusations against Paul, who is imprisoned in Caesarea under his authority.
Being new to his position, Festus seeks to gain favor with the Jews, but they fail to provide evidence for the serious charges they have brought against Paul.
When we strive to gain the favor of people, we often end up feeling disappointed. However, when we seek God's favor, we find that it is all we truly need to live fulfilling lives. Our daily efforts should be directed toward gaining approval from God alone, as He is the only one deserving of our attention.
Our hearts and souls were created to seek God's favor, for He alone can satisfy and fulfill us. Through a relationship with Jesus, we can communicate with Him and find comfort. He guides us to a better way of living. We should not seek favor from others; instead, we should seek it from God alone.
Today, I encourage you to find refuge in Jesus, for He cares for both you and me. Live your life with the intention of pleasing the One who matters most.
