This episode was inspired by the diplomatic wahala that happened recently between the governments of Nigeria and the US. the government of Nigeria is once again labelled as a 'country of particular concern' by the US. This is because of the number of Christians being killed in Nigeria as a result of insurgency, and insecurity. In this episode, i breakdown the motives of the US for using this label, and i also bring in historic context to argue that 'protecting religious freedoms' is a tactic of imperial divide and rule as well as justification to invade countries around the world.
