Can you imagine living a life without being able to speak? Not being able to chat with your friends, ask someone for help, or call an ambulance in an emergency. This is what our guest, Dan, has to live with every day.

In February 2023, he suddenly found that he was unable to speak. He was later diagnosed with functional neurological disorder, a condition caused by changes in brain networks.

During our interview, he and his wife, Michelle, shared how this loss of speech has affected his social and professional life, and the challenges he faces each day.
