Af: Die reënwoud van Tsitsikamma was vol klanke en kleure van lente se bloeisels.
En: The reënwoud of Tsitsikamma was full of the sounds and colors of spring's blossoms.

Af: Anika en Riaan staan by die mark, omring deur die geur van vars vrugte en die lag van ander reisigers.
En: Anika and Riaan stand at the market, surrounded by the scent of fresh fruit and the laughter of other travelers.

Af: Anika hou 'n lysie in haar hand vas.
En: Anika holds a little list in her hand.

Af: Haar oë flits rond soos 'n voël, besig met haar planne.
En: Her eyes dart around like a bird, busy with her plans.

Af: "Ons moet seker maak ons het alles," sê sy ernstig.
En: "We must make sure we have everything," she says seriously.

Af: Riaan sit sy hande in sy broeksakke en kyk ontspanne rond.

En: "Relax, Anika.

Af: Ons kan nie alles beheer nie," sê hy met 'n glimlag wat sy lagplooie wys.
En: We can't control everything," he says with a smile that shows his laugh lines.

Af: Maar Anika is nie oortuig nie.
En: But Anika is not convinced.

Af: Sy maak seker hulle het droë vrugte, waterbottels, en 'n eerstehulp-sakkie.
En: She makes sure they have dried fruit, water bottles, and a first aid kit.

Af: "Wat as iets verkeerd loop?
En: "What if something goes wrong?"

Af: " vra sy, effens bekommerd.
En: she asks, slightly worried.

Af: Riaan lag en skud sy kop.
En: Riaan laughs and shakes his head.

En: "If something happens, we'll handle it then.

En: "If we focus too much on the small things, we lose the adventure," says Riaan, half convinced.

Af: Binne die skuiling, droog hulle af en sit in stilte.
En: Inside the shelter, they dry off and sit in silence.

Af: Die storm blitsig buite.
En: The storm rages outside.

Af: Anika sug en kyk na Riaan.
En: Anika sighs and looks at Riaan.

Af: "Ek weet ek is soms te beheer," erken sy saggies.
En: "I know I'm sometimes too controlling," she admits softly.

Af: "Maar ek wil net seker maak ons is veilig.
En: "But I just want to make sure we're safe."

Af: "Riaan knik en neem haar hand.
En: Riaan nods and takes her hand.

Af: "Ek verstaan.
En: "I understand.

Af: Ons moet 'n balans vind," sê hy.
En: We need to find a balance," he says.

Af: Hulle besluit om hul idees te kombineer – Anika se leserigheid saam met Riaan se liefde vir die onbekende.
En: They decide to combine their ideas – Anika's readiness with Riaan's love for the unknown.

Af: Die storm bedaar en die lug is vars.
