Art Buds is a podcast for artists in Ontario. In this episode, we talk to Kayla St-Pierre, an oil painter and recent University of Guelph graduate who makes “found abstract” paintings. Her current show, Finding Community, with Elizabeth Broere Jackson, is on until May 30 at the Art Gallery of Bancroft. We talk with Kayla about her recent residency, how her background in film informs her painting practice, maintaining a regular art practice while holding down a full-time job, and what inspires her colour palette.
