In this episode, Jose and Charlie speak with Dr. Fiona Lee and Diana Lizarraga about the role of diversity and inclusion (D&I) in academia and the workplace. They discuss common definitions and misconceptions, social impact of taking action and advocacy, and ongoing research in the areas of gender inequality and technoinclusion.

Dr. Fiona Lee received her phD from Stanford University and is currently working as a People Research Scientist at Pinterest.

Diana Lizarraga has been working at UC Berkeley (Cal) for 17 years where she has grown to run multiple STEM programs. In the next few months, Diana plans to finish her educational doctorate at UC Davis, her research created a new educational theory called technoInclusion.
