Show Notes:

Thank you so much for listening, and big thanks to Tanjeeba for sharing your career journey with us, and introducing us to BRAC. You can check out the show notes for the link to their website to learn more about the way BRAC is changing the world!

So here are my top 10 takeways from our chat today –

  1. Diversity means many things – including socio-economic status.
  2. Growing up in a diverse environment with classmates from other places offers the opportunity to truly grow and step outside your bubble – something more important than ever in today’s society.
  3. Leadership that starts in childhood needs to be nurtured.
  4. We don’t necessarily to know our career goals, but it’s really helpful to know how we want to feel in life.
  5. It’s important to be open to things happening TO you – like how education, non-profit and sustainable development happened to Tanjeeba.
  6. Being able to meet people where they are is crucial. Like how Tanjeeba met the young children and helped them find their way back to school.
  7. Always be the best you can be, because there is nothing else you can control.
  8. In order to find freedom (or whatever you want to find), you need to be prepared to make sacrifices in life.
  9. When you are starting something new and creating a new life for yourself, you need to remember the value in your previous accomplishments.
  10. Remember to live each day and be kind to other people.
