Snarky Faith

Finding Hope with Keith Haughton

Listen Later

I'll be honest with you. I hate reading Christian memoirs. They're too saccharine, too fake, and everything ends up with Jesus fixing everything in the end. I hate them because life rarely shakes out that way and these types of books read more like fiction.

From my experience, life is hard and doesn't always make sense. Everything doesn't always have meaning or a teachable moment. And actually, Jesus tends to make life more messy and complicated, not simple or easy.

When I was approached to read, Rambles and Rants by Keith Haughton, I initially balked. I wasn't in the mood for a Christian fantasy yarn devoid of reality.  I'm glad I was wrong.

Rambles and Honest is not a typical memoir. It's raw, messy and honest. It doesn't offer easy answers to tragedy and loss. I actually felt comforted by its rough edges and candor. Keith's memoir is an inspirational journey of hope and healing in the midst of fear, confusion, and suffering. Keith's story, like most of ours, is still evolving and hopeful.

Join me today as I sit down with Keith and talk about the journey of his life.

You can find Keith Haughton's book here. It's an excellent read that will stick with you.

Come along for the ride as we skewer through life, culture, and spirituality in the face of a changing world.
