John makes emphasis that the purpose for writing the Gospel we know under his name is that we can find Abundant Life. Jesus did many signs, John wrote some of them so that we do not miss the Abundant meaningful life that Jesus promised.Through the Gospel John explains what this life is and how it is rooted in our identity in Jesus. We are encouraged not to get hung to the signs but follow the signs to the Life that they are pointing to.
