Dr. Veena Babu is a GP, bollywood dancer, youtuber and influencer. She also sadly experienced the loss of her mother last year due to late stage complications of type 2 diabetes.

In 2022, Veena began SADAH, the south asian diabetes association in memory of Helen, her mother. The mission is to educate and empower members of the South Asian community with diabetes to live healthier lives by teaching practical ways to manage lifestyle factors, medication and monitoring.

Grieving someone you care about or dealing with difficulties in life may look different for you but this conversation gives hope that we can find our own individual ways to cope and even make something beautiful in the process.
