The character of a Gentle Rebel is defined by the willingness to share their voice with the world. They carry the courage to whisper a message of hope and love into a world rife with noise, chaos and confusion.
To share any part of you with the world requires great courage. You will face internal resistance and fear of what happens when you press the button. But it's also necessary. It's a part of what makes life worth living for many introverts and highly sensitive people.
In this episode I tell you about a strange coincidence. And we explore the topic of pressing the button and sharing our work with the world even when our voice is shaking and we feel fear about doing so.
I hit that button this week and published me new song and video, Gravel Heart. In the podcast I tell you why this was scary and what I do to make myself feel better about sharing my own projects (including this blog and podcast), when I come up against the different aspects of resistance that hold me back.
In particular I unpack these 4 signs I experience when I know fear is stopping me from hitting the share button:
Procrastination
Perfectionism
Size
Precursory Excuses
And I share some ideas for how you might feel the fear and do it anyway:
Detach Your Self (ego) From Your Work
Build a Character
Develop a Team
Get in the Habit
