Finish Strong (Ep 69)

Happy Administrative Appreciation Month to all all of the school leaders - we value your service!  In this episode administrators and teachers alike get insights from elementary principal and Extreme Execution Transervational Coach Dr. Jason McGhee.  He shares valuable strategies about how to finish strong as we conclude the last quarter of 2020.  His school is a Candidate School for the Primary Years Programme and is pursuing authorization as an IB World School.

He tells administrators to try these three things to help them not just overcome but thrive!
1. Get off the island alone and get a thought partner, a therapist, or a coach to help in these times.
2. Latch on to self-care.
3. Be vulnerable.

To the teachers he encourages them to:
1. Take care of the needs of yourself and others.
2. Go back to your 'WHY!" Pull out that educational philosophy and place it in front of you.
3. Be resourceful - lead yourself.
4. Collaborate and be open.

Lastly, he offers us four pondering questions to show us the "W.A.Y. "
Who are you? Why are you here? Where are you going? What are you doing?
