Common reasons are burnout, lack of pay, lack of respect, and an expectation that what can be asked of teachers is limitless. In this episode I have a conversation with Jen DeRemer. She is a fifteen-year classroom teacher veteran, and recently made the difficult decision to leave the classroom. Her experience is like so many others as teachers reach their limits.
