We detail the Finnish invasion of East Karelia (1941), outlining the strategic objectives, order of battle, and progression of the offensive that resulted in the capture of Petrozavodsk. Furthermore we cover Operation Silver Fox, a joint German-Finnish attempt to capture the vital Soviet port of Murmansk and cut the Murmansk Railway through coordinated offensives in the Arctic, an operation that ultimately failed to achieve its strategic goals.
