This month I had the amazing opportunity to go to fire island. Of course I decided to lug out all my dj equipment with the intention of doing an underground after hours party in the meat rack.

The meat rack is a forested and beach area between the two towns of fire island Cherry Grove and the Pines. It's a big cruising area and the only way to travel between the two towns at night.

I wanted this party to be underground and mysterious so I used word of mouth and wanted people wandering the area at night to hear music and kinda stumble upon the party.

As such I kept the music trippy and deep mostly and tried to use less vocals and to have the vocals I did use be more trippy, trancey and in foreign languages.

This was my first ever attempt at an after hours dj set so I think if I did this again I would maybe inject some more energy into the set earlier. But regardless once people started to show up I turned it out.

This was my first hour of the set before I started to get distracted by the people around me 😈
