Good evening gents,For the life of me I cant understand my local FFLs business model when it comes to suppressors. Before the 200 pesos tax stamp when away everyone was charging 80-150ish to transfer in a can. Now its 275+ to transfer one. Their claim is is that we didn’t buy it from them but you can pick any retailer online and theyre cheaper than in my stores by a lot. How can I get it through their brains that theyre just screwing themselves over. Thankfully there’s places like silencer central that do ship to door. Ive bought three cans this year so far and waited 9 days on the first, 5 days for the second, and just under 2 days for the third one.

Love the show and the fact I live near Savage and flex on him daily because Im not a poor bald commie.

Good evening kids. I’ve got the itch to learn long distance precision shooting off an AR15 platform (up to 1000 yards). Present day, I’m nowhere near a pro but can hold my own from 100-300 yards. I’ve done a bunch of researching in the Google machine and the .224 Valkyrie seems to be the tool of choice. Any advice you could give along with upper receiver recommendations would be great. If I’m going down a rabbit hole with this platform, feel free to roast me.

Now that we have the bug, would you all mind sharing some insights for a couple of newbies? Going down the rabbit hole of USPSA, IPSC, & IDPA can be a bit overwhelming. What’s the short-version rundown of these and your experiences? What are your suggestions about gear for us? We both shared my iron sights P320 X-Five Legion for pistol shooting, I shot a Banshee 9mm PCC with a red-dot, and my son shot a Zion AR-15 from IWI with a 1-10x LPVO from Swampfox. It all worked fine, but I’m always looking for an excuse to buy more guns and gear. Thanks, and keep shooting straight!

The Truth About Guns (Savage)

GOA Drills ATF Director Over Claims About FBI’s Warrantless ‘NICS Monitoring’ Program

ATF Director Robert Cekada defends the FBI’s NICS monitoring program as Gun Owners of America challenges his claims about lawful gun buyers.

Gun Owners of America (GOA) publicly challenged statements by ATF Director Robert Cekada regarding the FBI’s NICS Monitoring program. Cekada stated that NICS alerts are not used to monitor lawful gun purchasers, that the program is not secret, is narrowly limited to federal firearms trafficking and serious crimes, and that only 61 ATF alerts remained active as of September 17, 2026, out of 14.6 million checks in 2025. GOA responded that the post contained two false statements and three misleading ones, citing past use by multiple agencies, prior enforcement of state laws such as California’s assault weapons ban, and the program’s origins as a hidden surveillance tool revealed via FOIA and a whistleblower.

The Gist: All U.S. gun purchasers subject to NICS background checks; program historically used by ATF, U.S. Marshals Service, Secret Service, Army, and others nationwide.

Impact: Raises ongoing concerns about warrantless surveillance of lawful firearm buyers, potential violations of Brady Act record-destruction rules, and risk of future abuse under different administrations; GOA argues it circumvents statutory limits on NICS use.

Bottom Line: GOA disputes ATF Director Cekada’s defense of the restricted NICS Monitoring program, asserting it still enables real-time alerts on legally approved purchases and was previously used more broadly, including for state law enforcement.

U.S. Rep. Kevin Mullin is pushing legislation to close what he calls "a dangerous gap" by redefining BB and pellet guns as firearms.

Rep. Kevin Mullin (D-CA) introduced legislation that would amend the federal definition of ‘firearm’ under the Gun Control Act to include BB guns, air guns, and certain non-powder propelled devices.
