Why is the clear language of our Constitution so difficult to understand for some people? Article II Section 1 of the US Constitution states: “The Executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.” We keep running up against challenges to this fundamental principle of our system of government, from the continuing garbage prosecution of General Flynn to last Friday’s effort by a temporary Manhattan US Attorney’s effort to appoint himself a higher authority than the Constitution.
