Sam Bush was in Bloomington for a concert at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater on February 6. Before the show he stopped by WFHB for a lively interview with Music Director Jim Manion, talking about his role in the foundation years of progressive bluegrass at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in the ’70s and the early days of his influential band New Grass Revival. Sam Bush will be a headliner at this year’s John Hartford Memorial Festival in Bean Blossom, Indiana (May 27-30).
