Admiral Forrest is killed in a terrorist bombing at the Earth embassy on Vulcan. When the Vulcan High Command believes a religious group known as the "Syrranites" to be responsible, T'Pol learns her mother is a suspected member, and has gone into hiding. Along with Captain Archer, T'Pol ventures into Vulcan's desert-- The Forge, in an attempt to locate her.
