LyricsGive me rock and roll music till the end of timeIf I need to sell my soul I’ll be the first in lineWith my favorite tune blasting out the radioCan’t, you hear me knocking by the Rolling Stones

Dance with me baby, hold me real closeThe one I choose the one I love the mostBaby show em how it’s doneHold me little chosen oneBaby show em how it’s done

Woke up this morning feeling no painMy baby’s love hits me like the pouring rainHere comes the evening watch my baby swayHer beauty flows like some fine champagne

Hang with me baby walk real closeThe one I choose the one I love the mostBaby show em how it’s doneHold me little chosen oneBaby show em how it’s done

Say now little baby don’t you board that jet,I ain’t half done with the whole of you yetThe full moon’s a GLOW It’s gonna wax & waneSaxophone playing by the subway train

My partner in crime lets chase down so funHold you as tight as I can my little chosen oneBaby show em how it’s doneHold me little chosen oneBaby show em how it’s done

About the SongI love the drum beat of this song, it’s a nod to Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love. The spiritual center of this great nation, the place I saw my first concerts, the home of Philly Soul. It’s a love letter to her, her romantic temple on the hill overlooking the river (the Philadelphia Museum of Art). Where I fell in love, where I met my soul mate and future wife. I will always love that city, and what it gave me. It gave me my future.

Music was my compass. Years back, in another lifetime I roamed around with a boombox and a handful of cassette tapes. They were an odd eclectic mix of 50’s, 60s, 70s classics. Most of the cassettes I got from discount displays at truck stops on road trips. Jackie Wilson’s Greatest Hits, The Drifters, Isaac Hayes Classics, and my crown jewel Barry White’s Greatest hits.

About the Live Video:As with previous shows, I’m going to release a song a week until the complete show is uploaded and archived on Substack. This concert is being released in support of the new single “Perpetual Change” (released on November 8, 2024). We started video taping and recording our live shows consistently in 2023, when I took over the live sound. Prior to that the recording sound quality was a bit spotty.
