Indigenous artist Archie Moore has won the Venice Biennale's Golden Lion Award for his monumental hand-drawn installation 'kith and kin'.

The 54-year-old Kamilaroi and Bigambul artist from Brisbane beat artists representing 85 other countries to become the first Australian to take the gong.
