Congratulations to Huron County Sheriff Deputy Gaerttner, the K96 and Friendship First Responder of the Week.

Huron County Sheriff Deputy Gaerttner was nominated by Crystal and here what she had to say: Well my son accidentally shot himself in the hand and leg. Deputy Gaerttner was patrolling by their house. My sons wife applied a tourniquet but it was stopping the bleeding. When the Deputy got to their house he applied another tourniquet and packed the wounds. He helped save our boys life. The shot was potentially life threatening. The Deputy jumped right and did an amazing job!!!
