WHAT IS HUMILITY?
It's Not:
● False Weakness
● Passive
● Lacking Confidence
● Silence
● Insignificance
It is:
● Close to the Ground
● Embracing Your Core Identity
“Not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less.”

“If my people which are called by my name would HUMBLE themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Why Does God Command Us to Live a Life of Humility?
WE ARE BROKEN PEOPLE
“Adam, where are you?”
Genesis 3:9
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a Plank in your own eye?
You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
Matthew 7:3-5
HUMILITY BUILDS HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
In your relationships with one another have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:”

HUMILITY PRODUCES GROWTH AND MATURITY
“The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, honor, and life.”
