-11:05 Gibbons: More on re-mixing music from old analog tape. Re-mastering vs re-recording of Rio Paraguay. Apparently, we're all in agreement. Plus - an idea of an instrumental Uncle Funky (all of this of GREAT INTEREST to those of you who followed our band, 44, back in the 90s).
- 17:30 Dan: Dan had a bad morning of shooting (Saturday league play), and the pursuit of the elusive "Perfect Form." Also, some thoughts on the pursuit of happiness.
- 22:37 Mixdorf: A time-stamp on the government shutdown and a stake in the ground as to our support for helping people rather than hurting them, and treating those less fortunate and marginalized people in our country with grace and kindness. All Are Welcome on First Team All Nonsense. And to be more blunt...we're pro-immigrant.
GENERAL NBA THOUGHTS
23:23 Mixdorf: On tossing to/on Mixdorf. Low-scoring games, similar to mid-90s-era. Theory on chippiness resulting from everone realizing the inevitability of Golden State. Dan advances theory of pendulum swinging back from space & pace aesthetic of Golden State. Opposite end of spectrum is contact, bodies in the paint...
29:35 Gibbons: NSDS: NBA Season-al Depression Syndrome that comes about this time of year. A race to get to the All Star Break.
30:37: Dan advocates for less time spent actively engaging (particularly with fans...such bad takes!) on social media, more paid promotion to increase listenership for this podcast. Does this sound bad? Hopefully not! It's just a matter coming to terms with the fact that social media use is a theif of happiness (see above). Oh, and another stake in the ground: we, here at First Team All Nonsense, can't/won't watch replays of injuries.
