In this episode of the First Time Story Series my guest is Travis Strong. Travis was in the middle of his second tour in Iraq when the Stryker armored combat vehicle he was patrolling in was hit by a roadside bomb and he lost both of his legs in the explosion.

He now works with other veterans to help them through their struggles with PTSD.

Travis is here to share the story of how he dealt with the struggles of being an amputee and tell us the story of the first time he climbed Manitou Incline and Pikes Peaks with no legs.

The way Travis copes with tough times is by seeking out challenges and reminding himself what he can achieve and what life has to offer.
