Far from it! The Christian Easter celebration is not about bunnies and eggs.
What we celebrate is the most significant event in human history - the eternal, effectual and once-for-all defeat of the archenemy which is death.
With our Lord and saviour, the effect of His selfless sacrifice that culminated in His resurrection heralded messages to three actors in the cosmic play:
1. To God - Jesus's death and resurrection both satisfied the justice of God and also perfected the eternal redemption plan of God.
2. To Man - His death and resurrection has made a way of access to the Father and bought redemption and forgiveness for man. This is a unique salvation model exclusive to the Christian Faith.
3. To Satan - His power is gone. Sin has been destroyed and death has been conquered. The seemingly unsolvable dilemma has been solved.
This episode exalts the magnificent, selfless work of Jesus Christ which He wrought for humanity by the grace of God. May your faith in His works be strengthened through this episode.
