First episode of 2022! I'm feeling inspired by death, grief and loss. What could go wrong? Let's talk about it.

Today’s inspiration comes from an IG ad I was served for an audiobook: How to Be the Girl Who Gets the Guy: your guide to dating with class and sass. BLECH! I think it needs a rewrite. Let's go. 

Are you giving mixed signals to the universe? Are you saying one thing and hoping for another? I was and it’s time to nip that in the bud. Flip it and reverse it. Curate your profile to say what you really want and have the audacity to own it. 

This is about a metaphor my therapist used to help me cope with how I’m currently operating and how I’d like to operate when it comes to distributing my energy coupled with several Ted Lasso references. 

They say rejection is just a redirection but I say man, does it sting first!? I was inspired to record this episode because similar to breakups I have a black belt in being rejected and friends, I’m hot off a fresh rejection myself.

Whether it’s the dream job, the dream person, the house you almost closed on, the car you nearly bought or the one that got away it hurts. Let's talk about it. 

Failure as experience is the best teacher. You learn lessons the hard way and you are less likely to repeat…allow me to share some of my favorites so that you can bask in our similarities, learn from my mistakes and or have a good laugh. These are the people you’ll be in the old folks' home with. These are the friends who will fight for your reservation at your bachelorette. They will help your spouse understand you.
