Larry will show you all of his time-tested tricks for deluding fish enough to jump right on your hook and in some cases, just jump out of the water and into your boat.
With some down-home country entertaining, Larry also pumps out more fish stories and diving adventures in The Chesapeake: Tales & Scales, and The Chesapeake: Legends, Yarns & Barnacles.

Fishing IS affordable!
I'm recommending this book to all the nearly broke USN personal assigned to Annapolis and other commands in Maryland. Mr. Jarboe is indeed knowledgeable about the waters up and down the coast. His enthusiasm for fishing and proving how affordable it can be catches the readers attention. Just like the sneaky snake lire he describes.
Laughs and info
Fish and Eat Cheap is a humorous compilation of Larry Jarboe's articles on fishing in the Chesapeake area. I am sure some of it is true. :) If you are a fisherman, you will definitely get some chuckles and also some good information on catching a variety of species in the area. If you are a politician, you will need a thick skin to read his satire. I have contacted Captain Larry and he has generously provided more information on catching the Blue Catfish. Since then I have been very successful at catching these fine fish in the Potomac river. I have just downloaded his other publications and look forward to reading them.
Fun book
Enjoyable read, but there are many references to pictures which are not included. A picture is worth a thousand words!
