Matthew 4:19-20 KJVS

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. [20] And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

Following Jesus is calling to be changed into or made into someone draws others unto the Lord. One who draws others unto the Lord is called a fisher of men.

There is a reason why the Lord describes evangelism and making disciples like the act of fishing. Schools of fishes or large numbers of fishes can be drawn to a bait that is presented before them. Once they are attracted to the bait, they will all follow the bait.

In order to draw many others to follow him, the Lord specialises in making his disciples into something nice and wonderful that can bait several others who are going wayward, straight toward and into the net of salvation.

Matthew 13:47-48 KJVS

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: [48] Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

Becoming something nice and wonderful that God can use to draw others into the kingdom of God is exactly what God intends to use your life for as you cry out to Him for Him to make you. God wants to make you into a fisher of men!
