Dmytro, an 89-year-old ex-miner who refused to leave an abandoned Uranium mine site, tells his story to a young journalist hoping to launch her career. However, the reason Dmytro has lived alone for over forty years is not that he is a hermit; he had no choice if he wanted humanity to survive.
