This week we are joined by Dr. Tom Williams to talk about chiropractic care for the whole family. We spoke with him about the different methods he uses to treat infants and children, the benefits of chiropractic care and some of reasons why you would want to take your child to see a chiropractor.
A little bit about Dr. Tom in his own words:
Hey, I’m Dr. Tom. Most days you can find me with a cold brew in my hand while enjoying the outdoors, and exploring the unique neighborhoods of Chicago with my family. I am most known for being Oliver and Evie's dad and the chiropractor behind Roots Family Chiropractic.
My mission is to inspire the families of Chicago to experience health differently. My practice is 50% pediatrics, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I truly believe that children are resilient rockstars who deserve to live a healthy, happy life. As a chiropractor and fellow parent, I am your family’s biggest advocate and strive to educate, encourage, and support you through your journey into true health.
As a family chiropractor that loves baby-wearing, I have also been featured on ABC news, CBS, Popsugar, Upworthy, Morning Dose, and more. Dying to know why? Check it out: https://rootsfamilychiro.com/press/

In this week's episode we are joined by Morgan Dufault.
Morgan is a 28 year old Enneagram 6 (wing 5) living in the sticks of Minnesota with her husband of four years, Sam and their two daughters—Harlyn (2.5), and Florence (Flora) (5 months), their dog, Mia, and 5 chickens. She is passionate about all things “crunchy”, her faith, and cultivating a foundational home-front that was different from that in which she grew up in. Since the beginning of her relationship with her husband, God impressed the word “legacy” on both their hearts, as they both come from two very broken families. It is their desire to break generational un-health and create a new legacy for their kids & the generations after them. Morgan’s life motto is “beauty from ashes” as she believes that’s a great depiction of what the Holy Spirit has done with her life. She believes in sharing our stories, we have the power to impact others’ lives through our vulnerability.
We talked with Morgan about her estranged relationship with her mother and when she has learned and taken from that relationship and how she is changing the narrative with her own daughters. We talked about how therapy and her relationship with God have helped her heal and why sourdough bread makes her happy.

In this episode we chat with Dr. Trill from Free to Feed™ about the struggles that many breastfeeding moms face when their infant has an allergic reaction to something in their milk. We discussed the work she is doing with Free to Feed™ to change the narrative and help moms with her breastmilk test strips and the hope that there is for both mom and baby in navigating those allergies.
Dr. Trill is a mother to two beautiful daughters who had severe infant food sensitivities. After processing the fact that she could hurt her children through breastfeeding, she started researching how to produce breast milk they could properly digest. She discovered that many parents experience the same troubling situation. She wanted to create a place for parents to find answers to their questions about infant food sensitivities and empower them to continue their breastfeeding journey. This is how Free to Feed™ was born.

In this weeks episode we are talking with Christina Hite about what it looks like to live purposely in community.
Christina is married to Dustin, her college sweetheart, and mom of Kristin & Kaylynn (ages 9 & 10). An ordained Mennonite Pastor with a background in Marriage & Family Therapy, Christina has a passion for walking with people as they navigate life’s joys and sorrows.

This village filled with tiny homes, not only houses those who are chronically homeless, but also focuses on the most important aspect of mitigating homelessness - providing an opportunity for true community and connectedness for all who live there.
The Hites moved in as Missional Neighbors and launched a brand new ministry - A Faithful Presence where they provide pastoral care, spiritual direction, friendship, and intentional neighboring for all who call the Village home.
When she’s not working at A Faithful Presence, Christina is working as the Communications Director of Foster Village, a local non-profit that equips, connects, and advocates for families and children who are connected to foster care.
