My guest for this episode is a speaker, consultant, rugby coach and educator in the fitness industry.  He is the author of Smarter Workouts: The Science of Exercise Made Simple and Ageless Intensity, the subject of this episode.

As an established authority on exercise science, a former Exercise Physiologist for the American Council on Exercise and presenter for the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Pete McCall knows what he’s talking about.  He brings over two decades of experience and a wealth of knowledge on how to live a higher quality of life through developing a higher level of fitness.  Which he defines as “Having the ability to do what you want to do, when you want to do it.”   In other words, fitness brings not only an element of energy, exploration, and joy into your life, but freedom.   The good news is, even as you’re getting older, you can also get better.  If you’re over 40, you best years may well be ahead of you.

Whatever image of yourself in the future most inspires you, you couldn’t ask for a better guide along your journey.  Not only does Pete’s expertise run deep and wide, but his delivery style makes the information engaging, easy to understand as well as apply.  As usual, I really enjoyed my conversation with Pete, and I believe you will as well.

Enjoy!

Pete and I are exercise enthusiasts, and we zealously talk about it.  We are in no way attempting to offer medical advice in this podcast.  Please consult your Physician or qualified medical practitioner before starting on any type of exercise program.
