The belt of our spiritual armor represents whole truth.  The foundational piece in our armor is not our own sincerity and truthfulness; it cannot be.  The Apostle Paul emphasizes in Ephesians 6 that this armor is provided by God.  The armor is therefore not primarily a part of ourselves, but something we are given and that we are able to put on.
