In this episode, I share my experiences from coaching and training therapists within the RITP certification program. I discuss why solely taking online courses isn't enough to build strong clinical skills, especially when working with children. Although online courses provide essential theoretical knowledge, real skills come from practice, making mistakes, and obtaining feedback from mentors. Throughout the episode, I highlight five traits that contribute to a therapist's growth: curiosity and love for learning, implementation of ideas, reaching out for support, creativity, and reflection. I emphasize the value of real-time experience and mentorship, encouraging therapists to seek guidance and practice diligently to improve their clinical skills.
