Introducing Five Seats, where female agency shapes culture

In 1868, a woman was offered a seat behind a curtain at a New York banquet. She refused, and two days later booked her own table with 13 other women for the first (illegal) women's luncheon. Five Seats is a dinner party style conversation series that seats one woman at the table each week: what she knows, what she's gotten wrong, and who she'd want sitting across from her.
