1. Honestly, the only person that's benefiting from your google searches are the companies that want to hold your attention and sell you stuff you don't need. If you’re overweight or out of shape you need to move more and eat less and that should take the form of simple nutrition changes and start with walking more and taking 10,000 steps per day.
2. The diet works but not for the reason why you’re told it works All and every dietary approach that promotes weight loss has the same underlying feature = it helps you eat less. If you lose weight eating vegan or through less carbs then physics tells us it’s down to the calorie deficit you’ve made and NOT due to some magical properties fanatical proponents of any diet suggest.
3. Diet fatigue – Fat loss is mini fasting that should be done for a set period of time with structured breaks which helps build adherence to the program. If you’re extremely stressed in work and family life has you up to 90 then just focus on eating better during that time NOT eating less. You should always address the three S’s before you follow some insta hun’s advice to go paleo vegan keto - Stress, sleep and Social connection.
4. Sweat isn’t progress – I’m exhausted watching exercise being presented in the most miserable way possible – Dominic`s message is about consistency over intensity and start making exercise something to look forward to not something we have to dread and need two cans of red bull just to feel ready to walk in the room. Do some weight training, stretch more than you possibly think you need to and get your heart rate up from time to time. To get fit and healthy you don’t need to give it 110% all the time, all pain generally means NO gain and intensity should be earned and isn’t a jump off point for a beginner.
5. Don’t leave your best work in the gym – if you look fantastic yet exercise and your nutrition is making you more socially isolated, lonely and depressed then you’re not healthy.
