People need encouragement to keep going in these difficult times. They need instruction in how to lay down sin and discouraging emotions/memories, etc. A wonderful passage for showing us how to lay these things down is found in Hebrews 11 through the opening of Hebrews 12. Then we, too, can be bold heroes of the faith.

In this passage, we find the way to run our race with great power and fruitfulness which is possible even when times are very hard. With the Spirit of the Lord in us, we can do all things in His name.
