Dr. Sandie Holguín is a professor at the University of Oklahoma and an expert in European Intellectual history. Her latest book is Flamenco Nation: The Construction of Spanish Identity (University of Wisconsin, 2019) which explores Flamenco and the growth of Spanish national identity from the 1800s to the present day. Dr. Holguín is also the author of Creating Spaniards: Culture and National Identity in Republican Spain (University of Wisconsin, 2002).
