Flatpicker Hangout Top 20 Songs

Timing track for a project at Banjobenclark.com

Just doinking around with some D min. variations in the A part.

This song was a hit by Jerry Lee Lewis and contains one of County music's finest lines, "baby's packed her soft things and she's left me". Played on my ཿ D-28.

This was originally just an exercise in playing the fingerstyle arrangement from Mark Hansen's wonderful Travis Picking book, but as I haven't posted anything here in many moons I figured if I added an improvised flatpicking lead I might just be able to sneak it in!

A piece I stole from an old David Bromberg album - not bluegrass, but it's flatpickin'!

I had the luck of sitting in on a flatpicking session recently with luthier and flatpicker Wayne Henderson.

I taped him playing his version of Doc Watson'e "Blackberry Rag." Wayne is a fine flatpicker and a great guy.

My arrangement of the hymn Come Thou Fount

My arrangement of Sweet Hour of Prayer on my new Santa Cruz D/PW recorded with an Audio-Technica 4050 and an ATM33a.

Thank God for allowing me a sweet hour of prayer anytime I need.

Since Tom had a couple guitar breaks I thought I'd try to add a couple of different things.

It's certainly nothing to brag about on my part, but it was fun.
