Mark 8:14-21 The disciples are thinking in the flesh unable to discern what Jesus is talking about. 

Galatians 5:10: fits of anger, strife, enmity, and jealousy are deeds of the flesh and they are all deeds that will damage significantly your relationships. 

Hebrews 5:11-14 

“About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.” 

Operating in the flesh

  -  people call us hypocrites… yes we are, we all are, but it strengthens that perception that the only people who are hypocrites are Christians. 

  -  It strengthens pet sins in our lives

Heb. 5 speaks of us growing weaker in the spirit… if thats true - and it is, then we are growing stronger in the fleshly desires… lets call it what it is. The sinful desires. 

  -  Your flesh wants to reject scripture or at least compromise it in your life. 

How to stop living by the flesh?

1. Confess your sins daily… confess daily to God that you need to kill your flesh, your sin nature. 

3. Get to know what the bible says about your problems… Got a problem? Theres an app for that - as in scriptural application. 

4. Build a powerful prayer life
