We take a few minutes to get my first impressions of the 3rd Generation iPad. While I noticed a big difference in the screen, I still think if you are only using your iPad for email and web surfing, then upgrading is not necessary. I also noticed the newer iPad was hot to the touch, as opposed to the iPad2, which felt a lot cooler. These were both tablets that were on constantly, and people were using both of them to try out apps.
One app that was on the iPad was an app I learned a little more about at SXSW. Flipboard is an app that takes social Twitter and Facebook feeds, then turns them into a readable magazine style. So instead of a couple words and a link, you could see a picture, and a bit of the news story. It will then take you to the page where you can read the rest of the article.
Wherever there is an RSS feed, you can pull it into flipboard. Connect your Twitter or Facebook and customize your view. You can even switch to your friends and see what their twitter feed says.
Flipboard is free and works on all iOS devices
