Eleven years ago, Jon Bergmann wrote the book Flip Your Classroom, and his world has never been the same since. Educators worldwide embraced flipped learning strategies, and Jon followed up with nine more books on the subject. His latest book is The Mastery Learning Handbook - A Competency-Based Approach to Student Achievement. Jon returned to the classroom as a high school science teacher in 2019. He still consults in schools throughout the world.

Jon Bergmann is one of the pioneers of the Flipped Class Movement and has a very popular YouTube channel with more than 5 million views. Jon has won several awards, including the Presidential Award for Excellence for Math and Science Teaching.

Jon and his wife live in Houston, Texas, and have three grown children. He is a science teacher at Houston Christian High School.
