Troy Jury has been in the trade business since he was 15. Working from the bottom of the food chain, Troy found himself learning from many skilled carpenters and tradesmen. The knowledge he gained from his apprenticeship helped him start his own business, QBS, in 2011, dedicated to delivering high-quality and innovative building solutions to its clients. Over the next decade, QBS has turned from a small-time business into one of the most well-known building companies in New Zealand, even being awarded the most searched building company in the country on Archipro in 2021 and 2022. At the same time, Troy himself has become an icon among New Zealand builders.
In this episode, we sat down with Troy and chatted about his building journey, the mistakes he made along the way, and why he chose to grow his business slowly and steadily.
