At the commencement of the movie, Ricky Stanicky is revealed to be an imaginary persona fabricated by three boys to shift blame away from their mischievous behavior. As time goes on, Ricky is continuously used as a scapegoat for the pranks and poor decisions made by Dean, JT, and Wes. Even in adulthood, they lean on Ricky to dodge responsibilities and have a good time.
