FLL26 Persistence To Remain Open With Surrender Chakra
It is said in the Bhagwad Gita,
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन । मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि ॥
You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty. - Bhagavad Gita, Chapter II, Verse 47
This is exactly what this chakra is all about. It guides us to do our duty, by giving our best with full passion and integrity. When we do anything, with such dedication it takes us into a meditative state. Then... it is not about the result at all but about self satisfaction and complete internal contentment.
It is said that Gandhi ji had this quality in him. He even ate with full awareness.
Is it possible to concentrate on something if we keep on thinking about the result? Won't it stress us out completely, by making the task more daunting than it actually is?
Will we be able to then, focus on it?.... and if we can't focus and are distracted how is it possible to do it?
If we are doing anything with the end result in mind... then isn't it possible that we may be disappointed, shattered, feel completely let down, depressed???
Where does it take us then....
Do we want to go on that path?
Isn't it better to do anything with a completeness that gives us solace of a job well done... with a objectivity to know the unpredictable result and to be inspired by a new outlook or perception?
Result is just one of the stations in this beautiful journey of our unpredictable life. It is up to us if we want it to be a destination, a new journey or moving forward.
Anything we do by giving are hundred percent fills us with happiness or opens up a different perception of the same....a win win situation ???
